Dev Log 009 - And suddenly, the end was upon us!
Progress Report!
I am happy to announce that Distance now has a completed version that is ready to be played! There will be some time before I make the game downloadable here on Itch due to the nature of the game being a University project.
How has development been?
Development has been a challenging but enjoyable time! The dialogue system has been redone around 4 or 5 times at this point, but I'm happy to say that it is fully functioning - aside from one bug I spent 2 weeks failing to squash...
You can play through Distance from start to finish, featuring sound, animation, visual art style and a simple dialogue driven narrative.
Is there a release window?
Distance should be available around the latter half of May - I'll post here with any changes. As always, when Distance releases I am open to feedback! This was my first time developing a narrative for a game, and hearing some wider opinions on the work is always helpful. Apologies for the gap in posts, I have been busy irl as well as developing BLASTOIDS (Check out BLASTOIDS by the way) along side developing Distance. I decided to prioritize development and make posts for bigger updates - which ended up being that the game was essentially complete.
