Dev Log 002 - Post Processing
Post Process Implementation
The implementation of post processing in this project is aimed to emulate a retro game feel which not only increases development efficiency by lowering the required fidelity of assets, but also reinforces the themes presented in the planned narrative by blurring reality and creating a link to the past, or memory.
Concerns can be raised about the legibility of this image, but this is largely a consequence of the testing environment being largely one colour causing the scene to bleed together. This will be an issue that goes away in time as assets are added. Furthermore, the strength of each aspect of post-processing (colour range and pixilation) can be adjusted via a parameter. Here, colour range is set to "8", and pixilation is set to "256x256".
